JCal Pro is an integrated calendar for the Joomla content management system. It is designed to function autonomously from desktop or other online calendars. While JCal Pro supports the manual import and export of iCal calendars, JCal Pro will not synchronize to other calendars applications.

JCal Pro is a dedicated calendaring application and currently does not support email event reminders nor event registration. Event notifications are available only by subscribing to RSS feeds for the calendar.

Finally, while JCal Pro is well suited to a collaborative calendaring and event approval, moderation is not fine-grained (i.e. you cannot specify specifc users to moderate specific calendars or categories).
