I saw another post in the same vein dealing with joomla 1.5, but I'm on 1.015, and after installing JCal 1.532, I try to edit settings (or install theme, or anything else) and I get the following fatal error:
Cannot redeclare class mosinstaller in public_html/administrator/components/com_installer/installer.class.php on line 24

I tried adapting the solution from the thread re: joomla 1.5, and it only popped some new and different fatal errors. In trying to fix those, my site stopped working, so in an effort to not totally f' up my install of Joomla, I undid the things I had done, and now I'm wondering... WTF should I do about it?

I posted in that thread, but realized that it was in the Joomla 1.5x forum, so I'm reposting here.

I even opened my administrator directory wide up (chmod 777), which makes me a little nervous, and that didn't fix it.

Thoughts? Help...

You've got a customized Joomla! install with a 3rd party permissioning system. I'd like to rule out this as the source of the issues. Please try on your server a fresh install of 1.0.15 and see who jcal behaves.

Damn... I created a test install, and installed JCal  before installing JUGA (third party permissions component) and that does seem to work. Now I just need to see if I can install the JUGA component on top of JCal...

Thanks for the help,
Caleb

Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm working on it right now, and it seems like it works as long as I install JCal first, then JUGA. I think I should be able to do that, and then reimport my data from this build, so that I don't have to go to the work of setting up all my users and groups again.

Maybe this would be a good posting to rename so others installing JUGA and JCal can find it.
In fact, I'm going to do that.

JUGA is in the title. Should come up in a search.
