Im working on a site for a client, and they had both EXtcalendar and JCal Pro.  I told them EXT was less secure, so they moved over to JCAL   I do like that one better, especially being able to approve from the back-end of the site.

Here is the problem. We have it set so that users can submit events, and we just approve them. Problem is, when they are approved and published the event description is just one long run on sentence. We have the wysiwyg turned off. When users enter the decription they hit return like

so

and

It just turns into this   hit return like so

How do I fix it so that the calendar recorgnizes the hard returns and turns them into < br > like it is supposed to? Is there some sort of code that needs to be reentered? This doesnt happen in EXTCalendar, what is missing in JCAL Pro?

Sorry for my ignorance, but where do I get that?

I've been working with wordpress for years, so Joomla is new to me.

Opps, u said that already, my bad.

Can u try the default theme and default wysiwyg editor? Let's try and narrow this down.

Are you using JCal 1.5.3.2?

I think its just 1.5.3

I have also tried using the default theme, and turning off and on the wysiwyg editor.

I should also tell you, they have the calendar set up so users, not registered can submit from the front end. So when they go to approve it, they can add the < br> in there, but would prefer not to. It should just do it on its own right?

thanks for the help

Oh, the website that the Joomla install is on. Sorry for the confusion. I was hired to manage it, do graphics and so on.

The site hasnt been launched yet. I suggested we wait until all bugs are clear
