I have just installed 1.5.x on my Joomla 1.0.12 site.  All seemed fine for a while and it was a definite improvement on ExtCal.  Even the imported events looked fine too.

However after a while logging into the front end resulted in a hanging screen delay fllowed by a blank screen.  Back end login was always OK and the user account/s with blank screens were shown as logged in.  The problem was the same in both IE7 and FireFox and I cleared cookies etc. to no avail.

In the end, by a process of elimination, I found that unpublishing just the Latest Events Module (1.5.3) solved the login problem.  I then found that the Latest Events Mambot (1.5.0) for adding events to content had the same effect.  In fact once logged in with these two extensions unpublished I could turn either on and generate blank pages and then turn them off to see the pages again, but without latest events information.

I like the module and mambot and want them back.  While working they didn't have some of the ExtCal bugs and the ability to add event information to content items is really useful.  Have I done something wrong in the settings or is it more fundamental? I would be very grateful for any ideas.

Thanks.

I have played with the settings of the module and this problem is related to recurring events.

The component setting is set to show recurring events (why wouldn't you want to?).  With this setting the problem occurs either when deferring to that setting or with 'Yes'.

So setting Show Recurring Events to 'No' or 'First Instance Only' stops the display problem.

However, it should be possible to display anniversaries or even Christmas Day without re-entering a new event for every year, shouldn't it?

Perhaps I shouldn't have entered Groundhog day after all!

Any idea when the next version will be available?  My calendar is full of recurring events.

I have the most recent Joomla 1.5 and most recent module and plugin for Latest Events (build 360) and I'm still experiencing this issue of receiving a blank screen.  Please help.

This is ridiculous that I pay for these modules and extensions, etc and can't get support!
