I am fairly new to Joomla and to your component.  The problem I am having is that I am not receiving any emails in regards to a new event being added.  I search all over the internet to try and find a solution but came up empty.  I have added an admistrators email to the "Calendar Administrator email" and have set my mail settings to the following:

Method to Send Mail   PHP Mail
SMTP Hosts            localhost
SMTP Authentication   No
SMTP Username
SMTP Password

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Does anyone have a suggestion for me to try?  I still do not receive emails when an event has been added to the Calendar Administrator email address I have specified.

Are the events being created by a user who does not have publish rights?

I'm finding the same problem.  Emailing works via PHP mail from my joomla 1.0.12 installation, but not from jcal.  I am using the same admin email address and have requested emails to be sent on the first page of Jcal's config.  Also I've set the emailing to PHP mail on the last page.  The system does telll the users that their events won't be published until they're approved, but then no email is sent to the admin to tell him that events are awaiting approval.

Any ideas?

I'm having this same issue.  PHP Mail also works for my Joomla installation.

I have tried PHP Mail and SMTP but neither are working.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Same here,

I noticed that you did not solve the problem yet or did I miss the end if the show...Smiley

Please if anyone has the answer to that problem. I would love to get it. I get the same line (will not be approved before...) but I never get the email and all my setings seem fine.

Hope someone will send uds the solution.

Thank you all.

Still no solution? I've tried PHPMail, sendmail, smtp and two different email addresses, all with the same result. I do not get administrator email notices of unapproved events. Joomla system emails work fine. JCalPro 1.5.3, J!1.0.13.
