I am interested in listing upcoming events on a page, possibly in a table view. The calendar views are great, but what about the text view? I have not used JCal/JClient yet and was looking for a demo of this. Is this what mod_latest and bot_latest are for? It would also be nice to separte these listings by category and/or month. Any thoughts on this?

Yes, the modules will work well. You can duplicate the modules and restrict the categories also, or use the mambot to call a category/categories of events in the text.

There are numerous views also:

Thanks for the reply. I like the more simple styling in the module on the right side vs the center display. The center is somewhat hard to distinguish events, especially if there were a good number of them. Hopefully the center display can be styled via css to focus more on text than graphics.

You can choose the default display (i.e. Flat) in the settings, then disable the top toolbar (also in the settings).

If you do this, then just use the JCal CSS to style as appropriate.
