Installing JCal Client 1.6.0 beta 176 to my Joomla 1.5RC3 (in Finnish) seems to go just fine.

However, when I try to edit the settings of the JCal, I can see the settings for a just less than one second - after that the disappear and I can only see the setting topics, but not any contents. Otherwise JCal works fine.

I also tried to change Joomla back to english, but no help there.

Any ideas anyone?

I can't reproduce this problem. Have you tried installing it on a different server?

Yes I have and the same problem repeats on all of my Joomla 1.5 servers.

As a platform, I am using Virtual Appliances LAMP VM 1.180 with stripped down Ubuntu. Could that be the reason, that some library or "something" is missing from the platform?

See the attached image of my JCal admin-screen with missing details.

I can reproduce it on my server, but only with Internet Explorer, and only with Joomla 1.5.  While using Firefox, it works great on both Joomla 1.0 and 1.5.  IE only works properly on Joomla 1.0, not 1.5.

That's a great lead for me and propably also for the developers. Thanks!

I will install Firefox and try to configure JCal with that. IE7 seems for work properly for users, which is good enough.

I'll inform you what happens...

So true, JCal settings work perfectly with Windows-based Firefox, but not with the newest IE.

Thank you for your advice.

I still think that JCal (and Joomla 1.5) should work properly with IE, since it is the most popular browser.

I'll test this on the current release. Of course we expect JCal to work with the major browsers (I use Mac for my testing Smiley ).

Hello Jcal users,

Today (30th dec 2007) I installed (first time install) the newest JCAL 1.6 on my webserver. (Joomla 1.5 rc4). I experience the same problems with the config page disappearing. I am using the latest IE.  As a workaround I will use FireFox untill the problem is fixed.

Kind regards,

Peter.

I also get the same issue using IE 7, but can use it with Firefox.

Is this issue resolved?
