I have installed jcal 1.6 and have had some problems with display settings (back-end and front-end) For all these problems I have found sollutions on the forum, therefore I wonder why there hasn't been an new release, because there are a lot of bugs fixed already.

But beside that, I want to change the width of the total calender, because when I change the width of the main table in the back-end/settings, the only thing that changes is the bar in which the pic's of the day view ect are.

I hope someone can help me, because there is enough space to put the calender into 530px.
I have tryed it with the year view and that works, only the small calenders are into 530px and the main table sticks to the maximum width. But it is possible and doesn't look bad.

I've not checked with 1.6 but I'm going to guess the advice referenced applies too.

First I'm going to guess that you have something in a cell that is so wide it is forcing the table to stretch beyond the maximum width you have defined

For me that was the time of events as it has a " " instead of a " "

Either disable the display of event times in the monthly view or apply the hack in the forum post.

(I would probably check that the times are the issue first by temprorarily disabling them and see if the width issue is resolved - I bet it is)

No that isn't the problem, because even when there are no events to display, the calender is too wide. So I think it is something else...

Besides I have disabled the show-times and that didn't help either

Hope someone else has a solution

Do you have a sample url?

Check the stick threads for development issues.

No, I don't have a sample url, because the calender is installed on my local Xampp server.
I have added a screenshot so you can see what the problem is, I hope that is enough to see what the problem is.

I have maked the banner smaller in which the categorie, week, month ect. links are.
But the rest of the calender won't get smaller.

JCal requires a minimum width of about 450px, which I don't think you have available in your template.

Yes I have, the width of the part in which Jcal is loaded is 530px.
The upper bar with the week-view, month-view ect. is already set on 530px.

I have found the sollution.
Just change in 'components/Jcal/themes/default/style.css

the line
#extcalendar .maintable {
   width:100%;

and enter the width in px you like, in my case it is:
#extcalendar .maintable {
   width:530px;
