Experiencing a weird phenomenon - When logged out all looks OK and all events can be viewed. When logged in as registred user nothings shows up in the calendar....

What am I doing wrong or is this a feature?  Wink  I've seen at least two other posts regarding this issue.

Joomla! 1.5 stable
JCal Client 1.6.0 Beta.176

Cheers!

JCal does not have a feature to exclude access based on registration, but this may be a bug in 1.6.x. We'll be releasing a new version in the coming weeks to hopefully address bugs such as this.

I have the exact same problem but only with the minical. When a user is logged, all the events in the main calendar are displayed, but not in the minical. I tryed to search in the code of mod_jcalpro_minical.php but didn't find out...
Is it a bug ? Is there a hack to insert ?
Thx

V-man: I know 1.6 is still i beta-stage but when do you expect to have a version for more stable release? Is there a SVN where one could pick up a later build?

I love the concept with JCal and have implemented it on my site, but still, it's really annoying not to be able to see any events when logged in....

I will work on the Swedish translation as soon as my site is up and running 100% (or rather 90%  Wink)...

Cheers and keep up the good work!

well, i got the same problem... but i have made some test that mayby will help you.  Wink

if the user is REGISTRED, AUTHOR or EDITOR events don't appears on minical and last event modules.
But if the user is PUBLISHER (that is not an administrator), MANAGER, ADMIN or SUPER ADMIN the events are well displayed in modules...

an other thing : i login with a author user, events disapears but if i go in a contact page (contact list or display contact form) the events appears as well.

i'm not a coder so i'm not able to find what is wrong in the code but if last event module ant minical module react at the same way, it is possible that the bug come from the composant code and not from the modules code.

i hope that will help you
