Please don't double-post (and bumping a thread so soon is not so nice either Smiley ).

See my previous answer.

I assumed that you were a subscriber to the Advanced Search extension suite. If not, you'll find all the details here. At the moment, we don't support a drop-down with content categories, just serch mambots.

Yes I am a subscriber to advanced search - and yes I know that advanced search is supporting only mambots - published search mambots will be shown in that drop down menu - is that correct? Well the problem is that I can’t create more than a one entry in that drop down menu, when I’m publishing more than a two search mambots the script is not working (joomla 1.0.13.). Well actually this is not so big problem I can solve it by my self, the thing I can’t do is to create some duplication of that section search mambot so I could be able to search in two or more different sections apart from each other.
For example I would be able to choose to search in ‘section nr1’ or to search in ‘section nr2’. Is that somehow possible? If not, then actually all that subscription just like that script seams just ridiculous. Sorry, but why else should I need it if I’m not able to search in two different sections.
Anyway hoping that someone really have some solution of that thing.

Great thanks for all.

I can't really tell what you are talking about since you seem to be mixing up Joomla terminology somewhere.

In any case, all the published search mambots should show up if you are using the search selector module. Have you installed and published the search selector module?

Also, when you say "sections", do you mean content sections, as in the main organizational unit of Joomla's content?

Mambots cannot be duplicated like modules.

Please include a url so I can see the problem.

Hi V-Man
Yes the "sections" I mean as content sections.
Yes I have installed and published search selector module.
Unfortunately I can’t give you a url because the site is not published jet, site is on my local server, on my computer.

Well I will try again to explain – is it possible somehow to make available to choose from two content sections in witch to search in.
Well I mean that a user would be able to choose in witch content section to search in by using search selector module.
With one content section this all is working 100% fine, I can’t make an ability to choose from two or more content sections where to search in. Well is that somehow possible?

At the moment, we don't support a drop-down with content categories, just serch mambots.

No, content sections are not selectable in the search selector module.

If the extension doesn't do exactly what you want it to do, I recommend you hire someone to modify it. That's what the GPL allows you to do.

We sought to give users more control of their search by allowing them to specify a search mambot. This feature is typical in professional settings and is sorely lacking in Joomla. I think we achieved our goal.

In the future, we may add support for searching sections or categories, but this is very early days as it is the first version of the software.
