V-man / Anything-Digital:I commend you for taking on the subscription business model for JCalPro, as it has improved features and functionality of the best Joomla events calendar application and provided some return on your investment of time and money. Considering other events and calendar components for Joomla, which are nowhere near as feature and functions rich, and also considering the extraordinary price other standalone applications that exist out there, the newest $20 one subscription fee is extremely inexpensive, far more feature rich on its own merits and particularly far more extensible through the Joomla CMS framework. Not only has this component improved Joomla but also my own projects and others as well. In the past, prior to the subscription model, you were always dedicated to the project and its improvement and very giving of your your personal time to others who freely used the component.
Now that it's time to upgrade to Joomla 1.5, it's time for me to subscribe, and I do so with great gratitude.
Thank you.
P.S. Are you still running SMF JoomlaHacks Joomla Bridge on Joomla 1.0.X? Are you planning on upgrading to Joomla 1.5 and SMF SJSB Bridge (

http://www.youpokeme.com/sjsb)? It works great, installs easily and upgrades just as fast!
Yes, we are updating the pages at the moment, and have not had time to post the announcement. Sorry about the unexpected change.
But to be clear, the GPL license for JCal Pro guarantees 'free as in freedom', not 'free as in beer'.
Since almost noone donates to this project (and thanks to those that have), we decided to try a pay-for-download model.
I think the price is fair, I hope you agree.
