We will be starting work on the registration component the week of March 19, 2007. However, no ETA on when it will be ready.

maybe you check out a component called "eventlist" which gives you all the functions of event-reservation. You just have to build a bridge  Wink to bring the best tools together.

Yep, would make JCal Pro THE killer App.
Calendar, event registration with RSVP, payment and CB integration... I am already drooling over with anticipation..... :-)

This public library appreciates all of your hard work!

This could be a stretch, but are you considering the ability to register for more than one event at a time; i.e. a checklist with all programs that require registration? For our programs that require registration, in the description of the event, I'm linking to Attend Events. We have parents signing up for 2-10 programs at once. A checklist would prove to be invaluable.

Example of link to Attend Events (see March 22nd)
http://ropl.org/index.php?option=com_jcalpro&Itemid=199&extmode=flat

Other features:
  • Admin sets the min/max allowed registrations.
  • Host of program has his/her name linked to his/her Joomla Contacts page in the already there Contact field.
  • Visitors can register for more than one person.
  • Visitors can leave comments. In our case, the names and ages of their children attending.
  • If registration is full, people can still sign-up but be placed on a waitlist.
  • If someone self-cancels, waitlist people are added to registered list automatically.
  • Notification e-mails are sent at time of registration and a predetermined number of days before the program begins.

At least in the first version, we will not be supporting multiple, simultaneous registrations. Sorry. Smiley

I would also like to add my vote for an event registration...it would be great if it could also be integrated with CB similar to how Events List does it...everyone who registers for the event has a link to their CB profile

Hello,
I have done something similar - it is not really registration, but more like "I will go to this event" button avaliable for registered users. Then they are able to see who also chose to attend this action (I am running community portal and calendar is used for parties). I also plan to implement commenting feature to this, but not in near future.

I mainly hack jcalpro.php, but I try to make changes to existing functions minimal, so upgrading will not be complex.

I just want to say that I would love to see this feature integrated into JCalPro.

I am starting a dog club site and while setting up JCalPro I realized that it would be great if site members could RSVP to events listed in JCalPro.

JCalPro is the best calendar system out there for Joomla! You guys have done an awesome AWESOME job. Once the dog site starts making some moolah I will be making donation(s) to the project.

GREAT JOB!

Is this hacka available?  I think I could make do with this kind of hack until a real registration process became available.

Thanks!

it is a really simple one:

you will need some php skills to accomplish that, but there you go:

1. create table: (maybe your syntax will be slightly different)

CREATE TABLE `jos_jcalpro_dochazka` (
`id` INT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY ,
`event_id` INT NOT NULL ,
`user_id` INT NOT NULL
) TYPE = MYISAM ;

2. download attached jcalpro.php and look at lines 242, 248, 265-268 and alter them to match your site

3. rewrite jcalpro.php with your new version.

4. do not blain me if it does not work.

-requires community builder (easy to remove)
-language variables are hardcoded and I have just made quick translations
-just first quirky version
-demo: http://www.upol.info/portal/component/option,com_jcalpro/Itemid,88889042/extmode,view/extid,71/lang,cs_CZ/
