has anyone else tried Zard's suggestion? I've just tried it, and everything looks good, except there aren't any of the additional links viewable for Add me , Remove me, who attended etc.

This registration feature would be incredibly handy.

After making several adjustments to the code, I ended up getting it working. The difference was in the languages.

This works perfectly. Great work!

Hi!

What did you do to fix this error:
Code:
The requested URL /test/component/option,com_jcalpro/Itemid,1/extmode,addme/extid,1/lang,da_DK/ was not found on this server.
I've changed cs_CZ to da_DK for Danish but still get the error.
Any help appreciated.
Best regards
Jens

Event Registration would be the most important thing for me.....it would make JCalPro the best calender for my sites

I would like the option of being able to have some events with no registration, some events with 'guest' registration and some events with 'registered' registration.

What would also be good is the ability to 'change' registration type after a certain time/date - giving 'preferential booking' to registered people then allowing guests to sign in afterwards. We have some events that are 'community' events but would like to give members 'preferrential' treatment

The CB option would be nice - for us the ability to link the personal details of members (accessing their CB profile) immediately would be great.

Any idea on timing yet??

aussie,
I'm with you.  A little while back I posted a work-around using attend events integrated into a jcal calendar.  Looks like a relatively seemless workaround with a few steps.  I don't know if it did not post correctly or if it was removed.  So, to be politically correct, I won't re-post it, but if you want I can email it to you.

Hi jbrowdy!

I'd very much like a copy of that workaround.
My email is jensl1972@msn.com.

I'm joining everybody here for subscription being integrated.

With it the possibility to define a number of subscription by event.

Thank you very much for this really great (and best one) component !

You bet:  I installed Attend Events and then created a menu link to the component (or to the module - either one) in a menu that I do not use on the site.  I create events using attend events (easy to customize language, pretty good component), I then go and fetch the URL for the registration for that event from the menu link.  Then, in JCalPro, I just create a link using to that URL in the description section that says something like "CLICK HERE to register"- it takes them to the attend events registration form.

It looks and feels seemless to the user, and it's not a lot of work in the backend.

Thanks!

This, along with CB integration would be absolutely FANTASTIC.

My personal application would be for my gaming clans website - JCal would manage all of the up and coming matches - it would be absolutely awesome!

If I may add to the request:
Not just have Add/Remove Registration to and event, but allow custom choices?
For example - Yes/No/Maybe

This is a selfish request, as it is directly linked to my personal needs, but the possibilites would be endless with a feature like that Smiley

**edit**
Just realised this has been requested here:

To make this feature robust, I would suggest that users can post and edit their events. Also that RSVP's would be saved to a database and easily mailed and printed at the closing time of reservation. Additionally, that you would be able to specify an allowed number and a conformation email could be sent or if appropriate a 'sorry we are no longer accepting reservations for this event'.

- Users can post an edit their published events

- RSVP's saved to database and available to event submitter at close of reservation period by email and print.

- Specify allowed number of reservations

- Conformation / Unconfromation emails sent to those who rsvp

- Set time for reservations to close.

Additionally, I'm looking into using the CB Plugin and the possibility to integrate that and a "who's going" would be nice. I'm after a going.com style feature set.

Aside from the RSVP system I would really like it if you could upload a picture that could be resized on the server and displayed in a mod_latest or a featured section such as on http://www.wiredlife.org

I will offer a $750 donation for a clean integration.  Smiley

I am definitely looking forward to any Event Registration enhancement.

Could it also be set to limit the number of registrations?

Nothing pending at the moment for this. We are busy trying to squeeze out the netx release.

Love Jcal.  Moving over some gaming sites from Nuke and phpBB to Joomla and after forums, the most important item to gaming clans is the calender.  Not only do they use the calenders for events but for birthday notification.  Can't wait till the CB integration is put in place.
