I uninstalled the beta211 modules and component, dropped my database tables, double checked the file system for remaining files, and then installed the beta214 component and modules.  I immediately imported all 3700 calendar entries.  So far, no problems.  I haven't tried installing a second theme yet, but that is my next task.  I plan to have that completed by the close of business today.

Here's my test site:

Just tried to install the Spartan theme via the "Install Themes" page.  I used the upload box.  A page is displayed with the following:

Upload themes - Upload Error
Upload failed as /media directory does not exist.
[ Continue ... ]

Where does that directory need to exist?  At the root?  In the theme directory?

I noticed a "write protection" error on the install themes of show themes page. Do you see that also?

I just tried installing a zip file that I created from a copy of the "default" theme.  I'm always concerned that I missed changing something in the xml and theme.php files when I renamed it so maybe this isn't a good test.  But I experienced the same error as when I tried to install the Spartan theme.  After the error, no new templates are available for me to select as "Default", and no new record was added to the themes table so I'm assuming that nothing useful happened.

In the meantime, I'm just ripping and replacing code in the default theme.  Should be simple enough to copy it to its own theme once the installer is operational.  Yesterday I tried to circumvent the installer by adding a row to the themes table manually and copying my theme to the file system.  That didn't work.  I might try repeating the same test today to see if this new code allows that.

On the "Install Themes" page, after the "Install from Directory" box, I do see the following message:

components/com_jcalpro/themes/   Unwriteable

I've noticed that on the Month view of the calendar, the images for linking to the next/previous month are broken images.  The src attribute for the image is looking for http://osu2.okstate.edu/www/htdocs/web/osu2.okstate.edu/components/com_jcalpro/images/mini_arrowright.gif

It looks like it is pulling in the absolute path on the file system of the server rather than just the web root.

Looking through my logs, I can confirm the image links issue, I noticed this is happening with .../com_jcalpro/images/spacer.gif as well.

I've been getting the following error in my logs:

File does not exist: /www/htdocs/web/osu2.okstate.edu/www, referer: http://osu2.okstate.edu/index.php?option=com_jcalpro&Itemid=142&extmode=cats

I think it is related to the bad image references, but I could be wrong.
