Installed component and modules with no errors.

Backend seems to work fine.
When I edit an event in the frontend and the event is marked as "No end date (Show start date only)" before, it changes to "All day" after saving. Tried to find out what's going on with MySQL I recognized that the field "end_date" changed from "0000-00-00 00:00:00" to "0000-00-00 00:00:01" (1 second is added).

I imported more than 600 records from a working Joomla v1.15 installation and all german special chars now show up as a question mark. In the database all special chars are saved like "ü" or "szlig;", I don't know why this does not work in this beta release.
