Hi.

Jcal 1.5.3 (tried with 1.6 also)installed on a Joomla 1.5 gives the following errors:

Code:
[Tue May 27 21:37:03 2008] [error] [client 82.0.215.28] PHP Warning:  mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/vhosts/website.com/subdomains/dev/httpdocs/components/com_jcalpro/include/dblib.php on line 115

Tue May 27 21:37:03 2008] [error] [client 82.0.215.28] PHP Warning:  mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/vhosts/website.com/subdomains/dev/httpdocs/components/com_jcalpro/include/dblib.php on line 74

1. the Jcal config in the joomla admin section seems not to save the options.

2. events don't show on the component frontend page (i inserted dummy events for the present day, yesterday, and tomorrow)

Someone have any clue what is all this about ? I've seen that are a few threads opened about this problem, but no answer was given.

If no one have a solution for this,  i just need a clue (i can research the problem further).

Thanks.

We've got a new build ready in a day or so that fixes a bunch of permissions issues. Let's see if that helps.

Hi there,

im from Germany and my English isnt so good. Please excuse me.

My question is the following:

Because of using the J2SMF-Bridge I need to configure the Joomla Database Driver to mysqli.
If set so, Jcal gives the error-massage:

Quote
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/virtual/erlebnis-und-geniesserwelt.de/htdocs/components/com_jcalpro/include/dblib.php on line 74

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/virtual/erlebnis-und-geniesserwelt.de/htdocs/components/com_jcalpro/include/dblib.php on line 115

Is there any conflict with this database-driver and if so, can I hack this problem?

Thank you very much for your help

Michael

Hi,

I have moved the site to http://www.domain.com and uninstalled  the 229 version. I have deleted all files and tables. Reinstalled the new component 238 and I get the following problems in logs:

[Tue Jun 03 22:55:48 2008] [error] [client 82.0.215.28] PHP Warning:  mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/components/com_jcalpro/include/dblib.php on line 74, referer: http://www.domain.com/administrator/index.php

Any ideas please?

Thanks!

I've had these same issues, and it seems that it was solved, at least on my end, by changing the driver from mysqli to mysql. In fact, there is another post from Anything Digital that says something along the same lines:
