This fix has been applied to the forthcoming 1.5.1.2 release.

Greek translation does not work at all in any of the JCal component options...

Hi there,

I installed v.1.5.3 and greek does not work. I had to change my default language in Joomla back to English from Greek so I can configure JCalPro. However, if I add content in JCal in Greek language it is not readable... Any suggestions?

I am trying to upload a new file in the forum for the greek language but I can not because:
An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.

Hello Nikos or anyone out there who can help!  I'm using Joom!fish to translate a site between English and Greek.  I'd like very much to use JCalPro, and it works fine for English.  When I click the Greek flag icon, however, I get this error message.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/hiddenforthisforum/components/com_jcalpro/languages/greek/index.php on line 397

This happens only with JCalPro.  Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks!

Hello s_media,
Open the
1.   /home/hiddenforthisforum/components/com_jcalpro/languages/greek/index.php
2.   go to line 397
3.   cut the line 397
4.   paste the line 397
5.      Save the file
6.   you are ready

That worked, Nikos!  I mean, sort of.  The page now loads successfully, but the Greek is garbled.  You can see how it looks here

[url hidden]

No matter which encoding I pick in my browser, it still looks garbled. Not sure what should be done to correct this.

Okay
At first don’t panic.
This greek.php is for utf-8 encoding
Open /home/hiddenforthisforum/components/com_jcalpro/languages/greek/index.php
go to line 41 and replace this:

 ,'charset' => 'utf8'

With this: ,'charset' => 'iso-8859-7'

Or open the /home/hiddenforthisforum/components/com_jcalpro/languages/greek/index.php with the html editor (dreamweaver) and change the encoding from utf8 to Greek iso.

Note:
For correct Greek language for Joomla you must create new database in the mySQL admin in collation: utf8_general_ci
But dont do this now.
