Since the German informal Language File from the Forum here didn't work on UTF-8 for me, I changed it to UTF-8.
I also changed all_day_label to "ganztägig".

Some things you should also take care of:
* Switch your Editor's Entity encoding off (in JCE it's a backend-setting, no idea about other WYSIWYG-Editors), so that your Editor doesn't replace UTF-Chars with html entities
* Check your MySQL-Tables (they should be set to UTF-8 as well)

----
Edit: Updated the File to reflect current standard and Backend

How is current status of german translation? I downloaded 1.5.2 RC and found some translations, which should be improved.

  • In the search part the button should be called "Suchen" instead of "Go"
  • It also should not be called "Agenda - Suche". Better would be "Suche nach Veranstaltungen"
  • It should better be called "Listenansicht" instead of "Flache Ansicht"

I use Joomla 1.0.12 with germani language pack.
