When Joomla! 1.5.0 stable was released, we received many requests for JCal to be natively compatible. Thus, we deceided a few weeks ago to rip JCal apart and rebuild it using the MVC framework. We chose JCal Pro 1.5.3 Stable as our codebase since this version is widely used with relatively few bugs.
We also decided to put JCal Client 1.6.x on the backburner while we comleted this task. We expect a beta of JCal Pro MVC (Joomla! 1.5 native) by the end of the month. Following a bug-fixing session, we will then resume development of JCal Client 1.6.x.
Thank-you for your patience and continued support.

Let’s face it, the default search functionality included in Joomla! is sorely lacking in features and options. At a minimum, most modern web sites allow the user to choose what area of the site in which to limit their search.
The new Advanced Search extension from Anything Digital provides this functionality giving both the end user and site administrator unprecedented control of their site search.
Features include content-specific search result filtering, language-specific search result filtering (Joomfish-enabled sites only), Dynamic detection/usage of searchable content types, SEO/SEF ready with built-in support for sh404sef, W3C XHTML 1.0 Transitional, W3C CSS Valid and customizable display of searchable content types using CSS styles.
Access to the Advanced Search extension suite requires a subscription fee of just $10 USD and includes 6 months of unlimited, personal access to the following extensions:
-
Core Component - search engine application
-
Search Module - standard search module (specific mambots can be pre-selected in the module parameters)
-
Search Selector Module - search module allow users to quickly search one mambot or all mambots using a drop-down menu of all available mambots
-
Menu Search Mambot - search mambot allowing the names of menu items to be searched
-
Author Search Mambot - search mambot allowing the names of content Authors to be searched

Kucinich chooses JCal Client Looks like presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich picked Joomla! for it's official campaign website and JCal Client / JCal Pro for their events calendar .
We just wanted to say 'thanks Dennis', we appreciate the support and if you manage to win the upcoming election, we plan on taking all the credit .
Cheers to Steve at Alledia.com for pointing this out.

Anything Digital is proud to announce the first public beta of JCal
Client for Joomla! and Mambo, the predecessor to the popular calendar
and events extension JCal Pro.
JCal Client has a long list of new features, most notable among them being advanced recurring event support (including recurring event exceptions), support for Joomla! 1.5 and compatibility with the Joomfish (multi-language) and Community Builder (advanced user management) extensions.
JCal Client is available with all active JCal Pro subscriptions. Since
we expect active development to produce a stable version, we are
encouraging users with expired/daily subscriptions to purchase yearly
subscriptions so that they can readily take advantage of software
upgrades.
As an incentive, yearly JCal Client/JCal Pro subscriptions will be reduced to $20 until further notice.
