			<title>Email Protection Plus for Joomla – its not just for text anymore</title>
			<link>http://dev.anything-digital.com/Blog/Security/Email-Protection-Plus-for-Joomla-its-not-just-for-text-anymore.html</link>
			<description>Spambots and e-mail harvesters are an important tool for the spamming community as collecting e-mail addresses from web sites provides a &amp;lsquo;market&amp;rsquo; for all that junk you get in your spam folder and often in your inbox.

Like any good content management system or blog, Joomla protects any e-mail addresses in your site content by using javascript to encode the emails in source code of your site. This prevent the harvesters from recognizing them as an e-mail address but allows the end-user to click the e-mail address on your site and trigger your default mail client to start composing a new message with the 'To:' field pre-populated.

The email cloaking feature is delivered via the aptly-named &amp;lsquo;Email cloaking&amp;rsquo; plugin which makes protecting your email address available to...</description>

			<title>Forum posting now available to subscribers</title>
			<link>http://dev.anything-digital.com/Blog/Forum-posting-now-available-to-subscribers.html</link>
			<description>
As many of you have noticed, we have been monitoring and moderating the forums very closely over the last few months.

Unfortunately, the volume of posts on the forum has increased steadily with our increased activity. As such, we are spending less and less time fixing the code as we devote time to the forum.

			<title>Does Joomla really need more libraries?</title>
			<link>http://dev.anything-digital.com/Blog/Does-Joomla-really-need-more-libraries.html</link>
			<description>
In simpler times, the vast majority of Joomla extensions simply installed using the Joomla installer and operated as expected &amp;lsquo;out-of-the-box&amp;rsquo;. However, as Joomla has become more sophisticated, it appears that developers are starting to release their own libraries/frameworks that run inside Joomla, and are required for their extensions to operate.

			<title>JCal Pro 2.1 Final is now available</title>
			<link>http://dev.anything-digital.com/Blog/JCal-Pro-2.1-Final-is-now-available.html</link>
			<description>
Today we have released build 308 of JCal Pro 2.1. This maintenance release addresses mostly minor bugs (index.php?option=com_smf Itemid=71 lang=en topic=4691.0) and one moderate bug for sh404SEF users. Although no security issues required attention in this release, we recommend that all users upgrade to this version.

JCP 2 was a milestone for the JCal project and was released for public
beta testing (index.php?option=com_smf Itemid=71 lang=en topic=3626.0)  on 15-Dec-2008 and rapidly stabilized.

			<description>
With the expansion
of so much user-generated content these days, the MIME sniffing
feature of Internet Explorer has actually become a serious liability as users have
increasing access to placing files (and images in particular) on web
servers. Like most CMSes these days, Joomla can be susceptible to this type of vulnerability.

Read on for more details on securing Joomla from MIME sniffing vulnerbilities.
